Support of Ongoing Relief
Several local volunteer organizations are actively assisting in the relief and rebuilding efforts.  Tsunami Volunteers, for example, is implementing numerous assistance projects in many of resettlement camps along the southern coast.  The Northern Andaman Tsunami Relief (NATR) is active in several northern areas of the Andaman coast, including several large islands which are particularly in need of assistance owing to their remoteness and relative inaccessibility.  The efforts of the NATR are focused on emergency food relief, clean-up, temporary livelihood, livestock replacement and childhood education.

Chabad of Thailand will collaborate with and support the efforts of the Tsunami Volunteers, NATR and other competent local relief organizations.  Chabad of Thailand’s involvement will be focused on identifying and evaluating the needs of the affected communities, designing appropriate projects to respond to these needs, and supporting of these projects through funding and technical input.
