Regional Emergency Relief Preparedness Fund
While a tsunami is a rare occurrence, travel in the Southeast Asia at the best of times is wrought with dangers never encountered in other popular tourist destinations.  This is particularly true for those who travel to remote mountainous regions and or engage in adventure tourism.  Chabad of Thailand, as well as Chabad organizations elsewhere in the region, has been obliged to come to the assistance of travels on numerous occasions in a variety of emergency situations.

To ensure that Chabad is always in a position to respond rapidly and adequately to emergencies as they arise in the region, whether involving a single individual or groups, Chabad of Thailand intends to establish a Regional Emergency Relief Preparedness Fund.  This fund will be governed by a clearly established set of procedures and criteria to ensure transparency while maintaining flexibility in response.
